Received my very fun Christmas block from Jean today. Mine went out in the mail this afternoon. Had it finished quite a while back but have been battling a tooth infection that led to an abscess, followed by a re-root canal. The pain was incredible and knocked me flat out. Thank goodness for antibiotics and pain relievers. Wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I received my pretty block from Phyllis (sunrise40). It's a very pretty swirled purple. Thank you so much Phyllis. I'll try and get a picture downloaded this eve. or tomorrow. Should have mine ready to go by Fri.

Good afternoon everyone. Hope your week is going great. Mine hasn't been too bad. Here is the block that Phyllis (sunrise450) made me. Love it.

Thanks for being my partner, Terriamn. I'm doing something different this time, I've always wanted to do a Drunkard's Path top, just always put it to the back. Sooo, thought this might be a good way to get it started. Terriamn was the first (guinea pig?) to make the first block (I had already made one tho). I think it will be really pretty when all the different colors come together. Here is the whole block, then what I will do when ready to set all together. I went ahead and cut this one to show how I'll do it.

Oksewnsew I can't wait to see yours when you have a few more blocks made. Are you going to have 4 differnt fabrics make each block or just use one fabric to make your blocks.

LOLO Yes, the idea is to use a darker Batik for the circle (8"), then a lighter color Batik that matches the dark, 13" sq. Use a blanket/blind hem stitch to sew circle on. I will trim to 12 1/2" and cut the block into 4ths. It'll be a mix of all colors when I get all the blocks. I think it will work out really pretty.

Terri, the colors will all be mixed up when I put them together. I'll turn the individual pcs in different directions to see what suits me..lol
