Very cool. I thought it had a mexican feel to it with the fabric. Would someone please tell me what EPP stands for? I get lost sometimes with the lingo in here. Thanx.

are you using Inklingo for your hand piecing template?
Great start, I'm really pleased with how mine came out.

I have to confess that I didn't buy the book. I'm working from pictures I found online!

EPP stands for English Paper Piecing. It's a method to hand piece where you first baste the fabric around a paper template (google it to see pictures of how it's done!). However, I am NOT using that method but "traditional" piecing.

No, I made myself cardboard templates and use a pencil to mark the fabric.

$400, where did you look? The book is $30-50 and you can do it w/ just that since the shapes and sizes are in the book, but if you are wanting the pre printed papers I've seen sets of those around $50 too, and the acrylics I've seen for around 20. I didn't buy the acrylics or the papers just printed my own papers and use a cut out shape in the center of a paper for a window for placement ideas.

it's going to be amazing... the first photo reminded me of a medallion you might see in a floor of a church in Rome or Paris... love the different fabrics you have used. It looks like a fun project... it will definitely keep you busy for a while.
