My vote goes to the gray first and then the purple. Your blocks are beautiful and I look forward to seeing the finished quilt.

Default color coordinates

Good Evening, Using the dark blue (?) border takes my eyes away from the designs, so why all the work to have designs. You want a color to coordinate with the designs, not "bury" them. Because your background color is dark also, I would choose a lighter color. Bring out the designs, do not hide them. Hope this helps some. God bless you in your decision-making. In fact, when in doubt ask Him for advise; His is always the best.

So i,m thinking i,m just going to use the same colour for the back strips of the blocks.
From all the reading I have looked at it does not seem to hard as of now .
But ask me later today lol
As you can see the back is going to be really easy to match as the pattern is very busy so hoping it blends right in .
The front will have 1/2 inch strip and the back as well . Think I,ll cut a 1 1/2 piece and sort of do it like binding fold in half and press and stich 1/4 seam then fold over and sew to other half same with the back .

Have you looked at Leah Day's method of joining blocks with sashing? I used her easy method on a quilt and was pleased. She has a video on how to do it at: https://youtu.be/DD0W7Tc9wZw
Please be sure to show us your finished quilt!
