Deb -- I love the sheep mug rug! Wonderful job, Katie!
Jan -- Hope you start feeling better soon. That z-pack should have you up & running in no time!
Irene -- What is "patchwork of the Crosses" anyway? I have never heard of this. Is this in the photo that Pat posted? Looks like elongated hexagons. Please post a photo of what you're doing, so we can follow along on your progress! (Just joking, but I do want to see what you're making.) Thanks!
Everybody is doing such a great job on their mug rugs! This is one super sewing group!

love the sheep mugrug. can i share a funny story about sheep. i worked in a medical office years ago. every tuesday nite they had a weight loss class. in the classroom they had a whiteboard. i drew a pic of a cute sheep and wrote above it "ewe's not fat, ewe's fluffy". a coworker saw it and said, that's cute but you should erase it before the class starts. i tried to erase it and realized i wrote it on the whiteboard with a Sharpie marker!!! it wouldn't come off. i panicked, we panicked. we ran down to the lab and got some alcohol wipes and frantically tore into them, scrubbing scrubbing to get the ink off, which did come off just in time. i was a very bad girl.

Hahaha! Good one, Cookie! That's just the sort of thing I would've done, too!
By the way, the new mug rug swap for March is up & running. Take a look & sign up, my friends!

Yes, that is the block by Lucy Boston her pattern is called "Patchwork of the crosses". I've never paper pieced small shapes before, my little project is going to my partner I don't want to post a photo yet. I'm still trying to gather fabric for my first Lucy Boston block.
Pat your block is lovely, I used regular copy paper for my small project but did not like it. I plan to use freezer paper and hope I like it better, if not I'll try plastic and see how I like it.

Irene -- I haven't seen that book before. But I never finished the two Dear Jane (or Baby Jane) quilts I started, so I think perhaps I should stay away from this one! But good luck in your venture. I'm sure it will be worth the time put into it! Keep us updated, please.
