Jaba,
I don't think you could've improved on Sue, I think she's just right.
The quilts I made were from blocks that were hand pieced and hand embroidered/appliqued.
As I inherited them, I'm not sure how old some of them were when I decided to teach myself to quit (insert eye rolls, laughs, tears, etc). I know some of Sue's dresses Mom remembers having dresses made from the same fabric. And there's a Sue in a dress made from black fabric with daisies that my Nanny made me a dress from the same fabric. Mom actually has a school pic of me from 2nd grade wearing the dress (40+ yrs ago). I'm guessing the blocks range from 70 to 25 yrs old.
I had too many blocks for 1 quilt, but not enough for 2. So I made more blocks and I ended making Mom and I each a quilt.
With 3 different ladies making the blocks, they aren't perfect by any means. But they're "perfect" for Mom and I and our memories...
Regards,
Kif

Kiffee that would be a special memory for sure. It's one of those that last a lifetime. Just found out our new grandchild, due in August, will be a little girl. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. This is the 1st baby for my oldest son and daughter in law

while i was finishing up the quilting on my mini quilt, i got to thinking about the theme of this swap. My mind started interpreting it in a different way then I did for my project. I now wonder how many people thought of doing Noah building his ark or perhaps leading in the animals 2 BY 2? I even thought of adding an ark to mine and one of those dialogue balloons stating " Wait for me,Noah!"
