I think you need to make another one for your self and another granddaughter that will come along to claim once you have loved it for a while. Very special.

Many, many years ago, I did a similar version for a few nieces. I love the border and know how you feel when you said, you would have wanted more time with it before turning it loose. I have felt that way about projects too.

Even though you had trouble giving this up....and I don't blame you it is great....it is clear that you love your granddaughter more and that is a wonderful thing..

No wonder your granddaughter claimed it. What little or big girl wouldn't want this. Great job.
Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean about the "weaning"... LOL. You can enjoy your pictures, at least. I love your quilt. Quilting is great! Do you have a name or manufacturer for that panel, so that I might look for one?

ETA: Found it! And they still have 75 in stock.

I bought it at a local quilt shop, called The Whistle Stop, in Auburn, California. They had it on display and I fell in love. I bought the last one they had, or I would have gotten more. Perhaps an Internet search is in order.

I had trouble letting this one go, as I really liked it and would have liked more time to wean myself.

I used a MaryEngelbreit fabric in the border. The house has four floors. The house number is 1930.

Back of quilt.
For those who want details. The panel is called Penny's Dollhouse by Robert Kaufman. There were several vendors on Etsy.com who have listings. I hope lots of granddaughters receive one of these.

That is just too cute! No wonder your granddaughter staked her claim right away.
