Default Camo Quilt

I asked my nephew and his girl friend what colours they would like for a quilt. Camouflage was what they asked for with green. So this is my Camo quilt. The pattern is called Snake in the Grass, and is from the book "French Braid transformation" by Jane Hardy Miller.

It's interesting how individual's tastes vary. My son was in Afghanistan twice and would not like this quilt, although it is nice. He lost several friends to IEDs and came home with PTSD, so I suppose he doesn't want to be reminded of his time there. He does still wear his camo pants on occasion if he will be doing some type of "dirty" work.

Beautiful! It took me a minute to see that the "snake" in the grass was the offset green squares in the French braid. I love it.

My husband ...Viet Nam...loves his quilt with camo. He is proud of his service to our country. He was a medic. Had to be a heartwrenching service. My DH watches old footage of Nam to this day. He watches anything "war". I pray that your son is getting the help he needs. Thank him for his service to our country. He is a hero!

To the original poster...the quilt is a great way to use camo or other designs. Great job for thinking out of the box.
