What color border should I use...

What color border should I use...

I love your quilt, it's beautiful. Love your scraps too!! I would use a white border the same size as the white strips you used in the quilt, then a nice colorful turquoise print border, at least 6".

I so agree with this. Many times white inner border makes the quilt look like it has a whole in it. I understand why some say it will make it float, but I'm afraid the beauty of the quilt itself will be lost if you use a white inner border. Using a darker color inner border will frame the quilt itself and really make it shine. If you have enough of the stripe, that would be great for a second border, and then finish with a pieced border to use up all your scraps. If you don't have enough for a second border, then just the inner border and pieced outer border would look great. Just my 2 cents.
