    Default Hello from Texas

A chance to attend a quilt retreat with some friends a few months ago rekindled my love for quilting and since then I have been working on my projects every chance I get. I've been dealing with some medical issues for almost the past year and I have found that crafting-quilting, crochet, weaving- really helps me focus on something other than my health and is so therapeutic!
I am currently a first grade teacher, but will be retiring at the end of this school year. I am looking forward to having much more time to quilt and learn more about quilting from this board!

Welcome from Southern California. I also am dealing with a disability but quilting gives me inspiration to keep on quilting. I hope you find as much inspiration as I do from this site.

I, too, have had a number of medical issues and surgeries in the past four years, and I am a retired teacher for 17 years. It is quite helpful to have something (crafts or otherwise) to occupy our time. Welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.
