    Default Log Cabin Quilt

This is a quilt top I've just completed for the son of a very good friend of mine -- he served in the US Army in Afghanistan and sustained permanent injuries there. I thought this was the least I could do. I'll eventually get the quilt finished, but here's the top. It's not perfect, but I'm proud of it! Jeanette

Very nice! I love your colors and I'm sure your friend's son will love it.

Good for you!! I would not have thought I'd like that particular color combo as much as I do.

Actually, the colors are blues and browns -- the one that appears orange is a "rust" in the brown family! I guess my camera doesn't depict the colors accurately. There are three blues, light, royal blue and navy, and three browns, tan, chocolate and rust. The center block is ORANGE - a KeepSake Calico. Red just wouldn't work, but I think the orange in the calico is just right!
