Bet it was fun and rewarding to see your vision turn into a gorgeous reality. As others have stated, just stunning and my kind of controlled scrappy. I don't think I have the batik scraps or the patience to try it though. Kuddos to you!

Honestly, I was impressed with the first picture, thinking that it showed QID throughout the quilt. Then I saw the quilting pattern that actually used. What a fantastic quilt: colors, quilting, border. Just lovely.

I love your quilt like you say it is a Keeper! Your explanation for how you decided to place your fabrics was really great I will have to remember that. Thank you so much for sharing your quilt.

Awesome...what is size of center sq? each block somewhere 9-9 1/2"? What made you decide on making those thin strips, rather than say starting with 2" strips?
