Well here it is the finished block, not quite a girl reading or a butterfly, or even a fish, however it is an aquatic animal. Hope you like it.

Sign-ups opened 3 1/2 days ago and we have ONE, only ONE vacancy in the 3 month group. Next person to sign-up is our 20th, at which point I will open up a waiting list for the 3 month group. If there is a someone out there who really wants a spot in this group, better move fast!

There is still room in the 2 month group. Nine have signed up for that group.

Sign me, stunned, but in a good way

OMGosh, Kass! I love your turtle! Girl, you are good.

Seesaw, big welcome back. I've missed you being with us. I would love anything any way that you make it. I 'specially like applique.

Jaba, that black floral is gorgeous. Drool. drool.

Kass you are so dang talented, your block is fantastic.

Seesaw glad you are back and I would love any hand sewn block. I totally agree with Libster would really enjoy an appliqué block because appliqué is beyond me.

Love all the new fabric's being shown for the swap.

I really didn't specify a group for my fabric's, told Janice to decide. Love it, will be a surprise to me too! I had another bolt of fabric picked but the color's were not so easy to match. Looked through my stash today and had to order some more so I can make a quilt from it. I'm 1 of those "matchy" people that everything should blend.
Got fabric from Florida today to make 2 dresser runner's for the new baby room. Will be sewing away so I can take them with me. Think I have enough to make 2 sets....Mommy will be happy....she will have them in the wash every week

Seesaw, welcome back, it's been awhile for sure. I'm sure whatever you make will be great!!

Thanks for the welcome back!!! I'm so excite to be back and I know this will be one of the best Boom's yet.
I see lots of pretty fabrics already and can't wait to play with them all.
I will go through my fabrics tomorrow and see what I can find & post it here.

Now Jaba..that's really a lame excuse for "having to shop"...LOL but I agree..I like coordination and fabrics that blend! Since I'm in both groups I'm sure to get some of the black AND the grey.
OMG Kass I LOVE that turtle!! The brown makes the shell really stand out! I LOVE it!!

Ive been making all the "Patch Pal" animals and I have 4 more to make until I'm done with all of them...one of those is a turtle...I don't care much for the colors they had in the pattern so am trying to change it around a little with different colors.. Got the cat, penguin and owl plus turtle and I think 3 of these will be hard to get "just right"....NO idea why I started the animal quest but I'm about done...8 are at the quilters, or will be this week...Then to find another "project"..Can you ever have TOO many projects or finished quilts laying around??

Joan ... how old is the grandson this will be for? I don't want to put a shark eating a person (kidding... well maybe?) on it and have him freak out....but if he's over 10 he'd think it was cool.

I was going to skip them 17 but I have decided to do the two-month Group after I looked at the dates I think will work with my schedule.
