I wish we (2 month group) were starting! Got to be patient. Meanwhile I will look over the blocks I have been pinning to Pinterest and get ready.

Here's a bit on how I got started. My mom had me take sewing lessons when I was growing up, which I loved. I loved anything crafty where i could use my hands. More important to my mom, since she was a piano teacher was music lessons. I took violin & piano lessons growing up. Loved anything to do with music. Then went to college & graduated in music. For 25 years or so, I did studio recording work, played for movies, played for lots of bands, tons of albums, etc coming into town, & the ballet. I always had dreamed of quilting, just not enough time with family & working.

I bought an embroidery--sewing machine probably 20 years ago. I did a few BOM & sewing in my spare time. Fun hobby. In the last 10 years though I've been able to do my dream of sewing & quilting. I just love it. I've had so much fun with swaps, quilting, quilting etc. I sell mini baby mini blankets & jewelry.

I have my DH, 4 kids, 8 1/2 grandkids, 8 horses, too many cats to count, and 2 dogs. Two of my daughters are still at home. My older daughter says she won't leave until she can take her horse.
People who have musical skill and talent fascinate me. I come from a long line on both sides of my lineage of people who can do NOTHING musically, seriously, I'm talking barely able to play the radio.

Kass... right there with ya. Dogs howl if I sing.

Both my boys are very musical... have no clue where it came from. One learned trombone (strictly by ear) and then progressed to the bass guitar. Loved going to the jazz band concerts. The other one picked up the trumpet and that's all it took for him, he was hooked.

I love music but it is Greek to me. Having to say "F A C E" for notes really slows it down.

Kass my mother could sing beautifully, I sing in church much to the dismay of those around me or by myself in car. The two oldest grandkids have beautiful voices and they both play instruments. Grandson who just turned 9 plays the piano beautifully. Wish I could at least hum a tune without scaring myself.

Hello everyone. Sad news: the "dino blanket" is out. Seems he wants a quilt with just the dinosaur print he likes on the front (no blocks) and a tone on tone flannel on the back. I can put that together in a few hours and get it to the LA fast, before the Christmas rush. So I'm back to wondering what I will send. Greys probably. Or I have a lot of turkey reds that would be great with blacks. Hmmmm. Better decide soon.

Just an fyi, no additional sign-ups for the 2 month group since the last list was posted. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Isnt it funny how life takes us places? When I was 10-11 I went to a kids ballet recital and fell in love with dancing... never took lessons, danced all the time to American Bandstand and sang to every song...My grandmother had a player piano and I learned a little of the keys and notes but never took lessons..ALWAYS wanted to play...2 years ago one of the nursing homes was throwing away their piano...ARE YOU NUTS I said..you cant throw away a piano so I went over and picked it up and its in my living room..kids love to hear it make noise...hopefully one of these years ONE of them will want to play it.. my sister plays beautifully, cousin plays by ear...they both tell me its NOT too late to learn... Heres my real hope!!

Center the other 2 are my sisters.....well in truth they are my husbands sisters but I love them like they are mine. The fine print of the marriage contract says in the event of a divorce I keep them. They are my 2 favorite people in the world that I am not married to or gave birth too
