Default Finally found my Blk Singer 301

I had found a 301 Tan/cream shortbed for $15, it was half price at a second hand store. Found my 301 Mocha longbed for $10 at a senior center rummage sale. So have been looking for the blk sheep 301, found it at a second hand store for $50. I tried to talk them down but no go so I pd it and was still happy, it runs like a dream, came with manual, extra bobbins, needle pack (said 40 cents) and a pair of sissors. Love my trio of 301's.

Great machine! I think Bonnie Hunter said she is flying with her 301 to use in her next video classes for Craftsy.

She did, she did...cannot wait to hear how it worked out...sounded like serious padding and not in it's trapezoid case.

Congratulations!!! Those 301s are the best!!

I searched forever to find a 301 and then a good friend of my Mother who is in her late 80s was moving and asked me if I would like to have hers!! I was thrilled and absolutely love her!! She is a short bed black with a blonde cabinet and I love her!!

The cabinet needs lots of veneer work on the sewing surfaces so I'm hoping to be able to fix it as I can't really use it in the cabinet right now - I did take it to a cabinet maker and he was crazily expensive - it was ridiculous and it was obvious that he was not interested in working on it. After a bit of reading on how to do it I am definitely going to try to fix it myself - will do it next Spring

This is a lovely machine and if I ever find one, I will buy it too. I am giving away many of my machines to charity soon but I keep looking for this one at a thrift store.
