I have this handy template ruler. It is very hard to find. I think it's been discontinued. It's not necessary but sure saves a lot of time and brain work. http://www.ciscosewingsuppliesandnot...ngle-tool.html

Eleanor Burns has done 8 HST's at a time for a while. The best description is to make it 1 inch bigger than two hst units. So if you want 2 1/2 HSTs (2 1/2 + 2 1/2 + 1 = 6) So cut 6 inch squares. Square up when they are cut apart.

Hi Sulabug! I also haven't seen any thing from you in quite awhile. Glad to see you back! I do like the 8 at a time when I think of it. Makes HST a little faster I think. Thank you for reminding me of them.

If you want to do them in the manner of thangles, but not purchase the papers from the quilt shop, you can print them off free here. Download the pdf files. The largest is 2.5" finished, way down to tiny to use in such things as the feathered star block. www.quiltingandwhatnot.ca yes, it is ca for Canada
