Four years in the making
#18
It turned out very nice. I always remove the paper as I go when Making PP blocks. The unwritten rule is to keep the paper on till everything is sewn together but I never understood why. I match intersections with pins just like any block. There are four large spiderwebs I have made over several years and I love making them.
It would drive me crazy to pull paper off a king size quilt.
There are also PP methods where you fold the paper back and sew next to the fold so the paper doesn't stay on the block. There are many innovative ways to do PPing. I hope you try again. Your runner is wonderful. I love the effect of the half blocks.
