I don't know what instructions the pattern gives, but if I were doing this I would have put the wonder under on the fabric before cutting out those tabs, as well as sewing the fusible lite weight interfacing onto fabric ....like Jenny-MSQC-did for her orange peel....don't know anything about gluing now...sorry....let us know how it turns out....cute idea.....

The pattern did call for heat and bond, but I'm trying to save time and $$. Hope it doesn't bite me in the butt!

Very cute! I would think you could glue it & then applique. I have never done it that way but it sounds doable. I have always traced the pattern on the fusible & cut it out. Let us know how it worked for you

you might save money but I think it will cost you in time not to have invested in fusible. Will have to watch for tunneling when you machine appliqué.

If you decide to use fusible do NOT use regular Heat and Bond as it is not recommended to sew through. Heat and Bond light , Misty Fuse or Wonderunder etc. are better.
