Letawellman, I started out with the Viking MegaQuilt 9" on a Grace Pro frame. Loved the way the viking stitched out and I never seem to have any thread tension issue, no matter what thread I used. Only drawback was the throat depth, 9" didn't give you much to play with so moved up to a stretched Juki 18" on the same frame and now I'm up to a 26" Innova. I use robotics but would love to have your talent with freemotion. Love all the variation you did on your blocks.

Leta- that looks so nice! I also love ruler work. I bought the robotics for my HQ about a year after getting it, mostly because my husband decided he'd like to quilt too, and he's only interested in robotics. But he does some pretty neat stuff, and we both took a class on Art & Stitch last fall. With that, one can spend way more time setting up a computer driven pattern than just doing it free hand.

After looking at yours, it makes me want to take my time on the two panels, but I have to remember I've got two tops in the pile that deserve FM design, and I can play with them.

Great pics everyone! My internet's on the fritz so I have been having trouble getting the pics to load to see what everyone is working on. If my connection stays up I'll try to upload a pic of what I'm working on-- finishing up the Fmq/ thread painting on a collaborative project and trying to get some more done on the UFO that I want to get completed this month.

excellent progress, and great quilts. I've been away to pages and I can't remember everything from one page to another. I'm still plugging along. I don't go fast but i keep going.

Okay, if my internet connection will stay up for long enough to upload it, here's a pic of the piece that's on my design wall. I'm getting ready to add texture in the pink areas to reflect the waviness that's there, using invisafil thread. The black area is going to get a few blue pebbles here and there and then some heavy texture using black bottom line. Then thread painting to finish unifying it, and maybe some appliquéd on black silk velvet. Will bind it in black and hang it like a quilt with a sleeve in back.

I love this! everyone's pictures are great and the projects are awesome!

I am working on a youth size quilt for a Families Helping Families donation quilt for a 4 year old little boy for Christmas (to give him with some hotwheels )

I just finished putting borders on my first crazy scrappy quilt - whew this one is a job 87" square. I am going to try to layer everything together today.

I will post pictures if I have the energy to move the furniture to get enough floor space to lay it out

Got the blocks sewn together. I've got some ideas for borders, I need to see if I can use EQ7 and see how they would look. I'm a novice with the program.

Macybaby, your quilt top is stunning, love how the colours run on the diagonal like that.
