Smart to finish something before beginning something new. I think I have quilting ADD. I have many started, many to start, and I keep starting something new. Beware!!!

I'm so glad someone directed me to this thread. I wrote a list of my UFOs Dec. 31 and was wondering how I would motivate myself. I am tired of the space they are taking up sooooooooo here I am. I love the idea of completing one each month but then that's only 12 this month. LOL On you mark, get set, and GO!!!!

Back for another round! Thanks Janice for leading us. A fairly quick tally of UFOs is 12 but there might be some lurking somewhere I have forgotten about. Last year my goal was six but I didn't make that.
But it's a new year so my goal will again be six.

Janice McC, Let me try this again--Please count on me as I have never ever participated on a on-line event. I really need this as I have "tons" of UFOs. Today, I am inventorying my projects as I do every New Years. It is rather embarrassing but this is a general review:
    --"Block Exchange" groupings
    --halfway completed projects
--completed quilt tops needing to be sandwiched, quilted, and bind
--the most awful shower curtain my daughter talked me into converting it to a comforter; UGHHHHHH!!!

Thanks for hosting this and looking forward to the challenge.

Would love to be a part of this group for 2017! I hope the group motivation will push me toward many UFO completions this year! I have projects stashed in boxes, tins, on my design wall, drawers, and lots of secret places! Look forward to seeing lots of beautiful projects from fellow train members!!!
Thanks to all fellow riders for helping me get motivated and move ahead in 2017!

I'll join you. I actually started on 12/31. I am determined to finish things and use up some of my stash to do so. Some of the projects just need binding.

I would like to participate too. How do I sign up or do I just declare my intentions here.

As to projects to finish I have two main ones. First I belong to Operation First Responders and have tons of patriotic fabric. My goal is to finish up all these roughly cot or twin size quilts and get them turned in. This is probably about 1 or 2 a month and they are very easy quilts such as log cabin or disappearing 9 patch. I can easily piece one every day or two if I keep on task.

My second goal is to make more grown up quilts for grand kids who still have ones for little guys. It will be 13 if I make one for each child for their birthday. That's five by mid March and the rest in Sept to early Nov. I did one for my granddaughter this fall, so one is done and gifted.

If I finish all these my tenative goal is to finish up my kits which I purchased on sale. I have at least four, I think, including a Christmas quilt for our bed.

    Hi Guys,

Count me in this year.... I really want to finish some UFO's this year... I would love to finish them all, but I will commit to 12 projects...... 6 small ones (yes I start small things and put them aside and forget them) and 6 larger projects.

I would like to post an item to finish at the start of every month to help motivate me... So I shall endeavour to do this.

For January I commit to finishing my nephews ABC quilt!

    Hugs to all.

    Caroline
