this is a great New idea. one i never heard of before, and very novel.I hope
to see next year about this time, finished quilts. I have no where to put a
quilt like this, but am really looking forward to everyone's progress.here would
be a great place to show your monthly progress.

If he doesn't get it for you, you can always look it up on Accuweather.com when you are ready.

I re-did my first squares. After doing more calculating, I saw that the first ones were way too big for a throw. I decided to go with a vertical layout. No more mind-changing! LOL! Here's a new pic. Most of my weather fabric arrived today, so I'll be starting on the blocks for my queen-size quilt shortly. Woo hoo!

Both the throw set (high/low temps) and the queen set (high/low temps and weather).

Cute!!!

Here are my first 4 days. Nothing too exciting yet. Top triangle = high temp and bottom triangle = low temp. Teal = 30 degree range and purple = 40 degree range.

Thanks for those sharing pictures! I am still working on getting my stuff together. I hope to do it next week. I keep planning how I am going to do it and not actually doing anything. This week and next are two of my busy weeks at work; I am hoping it will settle down after that.

They are predicting snow here this weekend (not common here). Schools have already announced early release for tomorrow. It will be fun to track the temperatures.

I made a choice last night. I have a jelly roll of batiks from soft pink, nearly white, with just the slightest touch of lavender to a purple on such dark blue that it is nearly black. Guess that should give me plenty of choices for my Michigan weather. My plan is a simple side by side grid for each month, high/low. I seldom make anything that is simply modern geometric. I am going to play with my calculator a bit to figure out how big this will end up. I want to keep it moderately small, so I can hang it in my bathroom or maybe in my hall or then perhaps in my bedroom. Oh, well, I will let my creative fairy lead me through my forest of possibilities.

Love the examples I have seen so far. Keep them coming. They are ..... inspirational.
