I always used just sewing machine oil. I never had a problem with my Juki using it.

I use the Zoom Spout oiler, says it contains stainless lily white sewing machine oil. It's the standard oil sold at all the shops here. Seems to work perfectly in all my machines

I use this too. If you don't have a local shop, you can find it online. I think I paid less than $5 for it.

When they say "special" oil they mean don't use household lubricants such as WD-40, 3-in-1 oil, etc. You need to use oil labeled "sewing machine oil". You should be able to purchase it at any local sewing machine dealer or repair shop.

You can also buy it at JoAnns or Walmart.

Remember do not set the oil bottle in direct light. This will burn up the oil and make it unusable. I keep mine in a drawer when not in use. Stored properly, if you get the Zoom Spout Oiler, it will last you for years.
