Nice job. I've made a number of cloth rugs. My daughter asked for one when she gave birth so she could put my grandson on the floor. I made a circular one with a double cotton batting and it's been in constant use for 6 years. I've also made numerous bath rugs. They are fun to make....again a double cotton batting and I can make them to match the decor.

Sorry, but I am not familiar with "rug grip".
Would it hold a cloth floor quilt against a vinyl floor?
Or is it for holding the cloth on top of a carpet that is already there?
Did you attach the rug grip to the quilt?
Or is it laying separately.

Or another possibility ... I have heard of a product that you "paint" on the back of a floor quilt.
Does anyone know the name of it? Product name? Brand name?
Or even better, where I might purchase it?

Very nice! I have been going to make one also but I didn't know if I would want to walk on it! lol I guess if my mind was set as a rug I would be ok! It certainly would feel good on your bare feet. Great job!

Great idea! What I do with rugs that don't have the non-slip backing, and are washable as I would imagine a "quilt rug" would be, is to use washable Elmer's school glue. Makes for a little extra work when you need to wash it, but it will stay put without slipping. I even use it on my hardwood floors without damaging the finish. What I do is squeeze the glue onto the back of the rug after I've washed the floor, let it dry to tacky and place it where I want it. It will dry stuck to where it's placed! To remove for washing: (this is the harder, more time consuming part): using a wet towel, lift a corner of your rug, and moisten underneath the rug. It will come loose. Wipe again when the rug is lifted with clear water and dry the area with another dry towel. Wash your rug and repeat the process with the clean rug when you lay it again. I wouldn't do this if placing the rug over carpet.

Girl, I have been so busy with the kitchen being redone and the electric and the plumbing all redone to brand new. So it took me a while to get everything back to order. I am back and forth now lol

another idea, if you can't find the rug grip, is to just use an old rug that still grips and lay it on top of that. Another idea would be to use those baby grips that come on the bottom of their PJ's, I think you can buy it by the yard.
