Both are absolutely gorgeous, colors and pattern included.

I never hand sew bindings anymore. I now spend that time making quilts.

Believe me, they are worth every single second you put into making them! They are both beautiful quilts but the Jinny Beyer one is over the moon beautiful! You should send her a picture of it. I'll bet she'd be as thrilled as we are to see your outstanding work!

Beautiful quilts - Love them both. When you say hand binding you are just talking about stitching the back down by hand after you have sewn the front on with the machine right? Or are you saying you sewed all that binding front and back by hand? I can't imagine sewing both front and back by hand.

I will send a picture to Jinny, hadn't thought about it but I bet she will like that. I actually made that quilt, starting with reading the pattern & tracing appliqués to quilted and bound in 23 days. That's with working overtime 48-56 hours a week. Jinny Beyer patterns are so well written and everything went together so nicely.
