I am one of those who can not access the gallery, but I didn't message you b/c it didn't occur to me others might have the same problem. I can't test it here at work their security is to tight blocks me from all kinds of stuff.

I haven't a clue why this is happening.

I got on the gallery a few minutes ago too, and admired our beautiful work! It all looked normal to me.

Janice, I was having a problem getting to the gallery from your link too. My browser asked if I was trying to open aol. When I clicked no, it wouldn't go through. BUT.. I just clicked on the link again and it went right through this time.
Seesaw's heart pattern that she shared with us shows in my Boom 18 quilt. My block was made by sewbiz using seesaw's pattern. I've already gifted both of my Boom 18 quilts or I might consider keeping that block for me in memory of Seesaw. HINT,hint.......that sure would make a gorgeous block with my pink 2 month fabric.

Duly noted! Also, would you like me to send you the pattern to try one yourself? It takes a bit of time but if you can paper piece you won't have any problem. If anyone else would like Seasaw's heart pattern, pm me with your email address and I will share it. Sue would have wanted us to share it.

A newbie question for all of you - I have never pre-washed fabrics for my quilts. Can you give me some tips on how to best do this? My fabric is set to arrive tomorrow and I know I will be anxious to get started preparing it!

Just don't cut it first! Wash it in the machine in one big piece just like it was clothing. Then machine dry. Then I would suggest pressing it really hot, which will get rid of your wrinkles and make the fabric look new again... only now it's preshrunk.

Then at that point you can cut it.

Nothing to it!
