My smaller amounts of fabric are stacked vertically in my bookshelves. They've been kicked out of my regular fabric cabinet due to lack of space. Currently they only take up 2 shelves. I'm not very good at posting pics anymore.

I use inexpensive crates from Michael's, which I painted white and hung on the wall sideways.

Mine are stored with my yardage - unless purchased for a specific project in which case the fabric is stored in an Artbin box with a copy of the pattern I want to use.

I have mine in plastic shoe boxes under my cutting table in color groups. Same goes for my scraps but by size. I have a metal wire basket under the table I throw my scraps into and when full I bring it out and clean it out putting the scraps in their perspective box. I think its time to bring it out though.

I'm using a Trofast unit I picked up at Ikea and it is awesome. I was surprised at how many FQs fit in just one of the small bins! I also use the small drawers for my pre-cuts. The two larger bins have all my little scraps and strips.
