We are longtime, good friends, we have that ability to be openly honest. Love her to death.
This project will be a 2nd attempt at a Christmas table runner for a nephew, when I had described the original to him he sounded disappointed. I used a Moda Kansas Troubles charm pack "Holiday Medley" (I love Kansas Troubles.) I described the colors as earth tones, he was disappointed it was not red and green... So he is getting his red and green!!!

I don't think you should ask that question. Only if you are stuck or need another opinion. There is no right or wrong with taste. Its your quilt, so you need to pick what you like. There are probably many other people who pick things that you don't particularly care for. I worked in a quilt shop and I was amazed at how many times people picked things that I would have never imagined together, and it turned out beautiful. Seeing things differently is what keeps life interesting.

I don't like the red & white checkered with the other three fabrics. I LOVE the other 3 fabrics together!

Just because I did not have a "need" and I am not feeling "stuck" does not mean I was not sincerely interested in others opinion. I can see where these fabrics would not be to others liking and yet I see potential. Lighten up this was for fun!! Jeesh!

The red and cream checkered is my least favorite in the group too. And I love checkered.

I want the checked fabric. You can keep all the rest! Truthfully, I have all the Christmas fabric I will ever need, some quite beautiful, but nothing made from it. But I do like the fabrics you chose.

It's new fabric, what not to like about that? The one on the end I think would work in a OBW.
