Default Dresser scarf quilt top

I would like to use dresser scarves in a quilt. Would you recommend to treat each piece like a T-shirt quilt and iron on interfacing or sew directly to a block of muslin before pieceing? I am not planning any sashing - just blocks of different sizes sewn together. I have followed Kelly Cline’s page but am still debating how to proceed before I cut. Thank you for any advice.

Check out Cindy Needham she uses vintage linens a lot . Usually I only use interfacing if the piece is very thin or slippery but then I use the pieces whole on top of a background fabric. Hope this helps..

I was just reading Karen's post from the PaintedQuilt on facebook. She uses interfacing. She also has pics of what she is doing. Look for her on facebook.

I would probably use muslin to interface them rather than a fusible

I did a quilt using handkerchiefs. I used the spray basting to attach them to the background and quilted at the edge through all layers and then a design on each one. I have no idea how this is going to hold up with laundering but, because of the nature of this quilt, I don't intend to use it routinely. It will be "okay".
