    Default Selvedge Quilt

I have finally finished the binding on this Selvedge Quilt. I used only plain (non word) selvedges for both the background and the knots. Even the binding is made from the smaller pieces of selvedges. Will make a lovely pet blanket as it is quite thick.

I never tire of working with selvedges, both word and plain. I have so many projects in mind and thank goodness as I have a huge stash at hand.

Your quilt is gorgeous. I don’t save selvedges. I’ve been passing them to a friend along with scraps. She uses them for dog shelter beds. Maybe I should hang onto the selvedges!? Questions.....do you cut the selvedges off in one big piece before you cut the fabric for other purpose? Or just cut them off as you go? Do you sort and store by color as you go? Interesting quilt!
