O my goodness, I got my package yesterday. I was so excited I went to work right away. All I have to do now is put a border on the quilt top and quilt it

Here is my progress so far. It looks like a mess, but each little cornerstone requires me to take it out a couple of times to get it right. Getting there.

Oh battle axe I dare to differ, Love yours. And of course all the blocks I received. I made a judgement call and gave my sister about three extra blocks that I held on to because of fabric colors that weren’t quite fall-ish. Now I am in a pinch to whip up several more stars. But at least my other blocks are going in a legacy quilt she is making that includes our great grandmother, and several great aunts quilt blocks as well as her daughters block and her own.
Worth the extra work wouldn’t you say!

Thank you TO ALL THE SWAPPERS for your nice blocks. I think I am going to create a very large block for the center and place the others all around it. this project will fall in line after I complete a weaver fever quilt from over two years ago and a couple other on line quilt kits that I have 2/3 of the way done. Just call me “The Distracted Quilter”.

Received my trade blocks also. Thank you ladies! Not sure yet if I'm going to make another quilt or I'm thinking strongly on making fall placemats. I use placemats everyday so that is probably what I am going to do.

I thought I was sooo done with this. But I like to put it up on the design wall to look for blatant errors. Oh my, I was not done. Top corner not even complete. Next step is to trim it and leave a quarter inch seam allowance on the corner stones. Then put red strip all the way around, then wide border. Then quilt.

Battleaxe, Beautifully done. Your quilt top is an inspiration. It is going to be one beautiful fall quilt.
