Here is a picture of my 4 patches and HST's. Trying to keep within the recipients desire for red and turquoise. I've made a few more than the pattern calls for with plans to enlarge it a bit.

Dsenters, those are beautiful colors/fabric. It gets exciting at this point to imagine how this will all fit together. Your's will be stunning.

Hee hee sitting here enjoying the sun at my daughter's -- it is cloudy and raining at home -- and thinking, you all must be wondering just what can you do with a bunch of HSTs and 4-patch. I love this part of my mysteries!

SusieQ Thank you. I really love the aqua or “pool” colored grunge that’s making all the other colors really go together well.
Carol in WI I can see how the red & turquoise will pop out so I think your recipient should be pleased, especially with more fabrics to add as sashing & then a possible border or 2. The 25 mostly paper pieced blocked quilt I’m making has red, & aqua plus coral & green fabrics so it kind of reminds me of your colors. See my new avatar for 4 of the 7 blocks I’ve made for it so far.
Dsenters I love the purplish rosy colors you have. I can’t believe you have all that variety of fabrics in that color. It must have taken quite awhile & quite the eye for you to gather all that fabric that goes together so beautifully. Your quilt will be quite lovely I think.
Judy I’m glad you’re enjoying the sunshine. It’s a lovely fall day here too. You never did answer my last question. Is there only one clue left or 2?

Crafty - sorry, there is one great big clue to end it all and will be posted Oct. 20. Giving all of you time to finish the top at your leisure.

I got all my 4 patches done and ready for the next clue.

My DD's birthday is coming up at the end of the month. I asked her what she wanted, and she said "how about that clutch bag that you bought the kit to make for me a couple of years ago?"

I told her I'd make it if I could find it as it was buried somewhere in my sewing room.

Actually, I had already started on it and I have supplies to make a couple of more. So that is what I'm working on today.
