border dilemma

I like the last one best however if you are making it for your bed, make it the size you need. The border won't really impact the quilt as much on a bed as it won't be on the same plane. Most people tend to just "see" what is on the top of the mattress.

I agree with Paws; I like the very narrow inner border with the two color border with the diamonds as the final border. The wider paisley border is a beautiful print but I think it overwhelms your more beautiful quilt blocks.

I like the top one with the two colour inner border best. Could you use that same idea for the outer border? If you need to make it bigger you could make the outer brown and blues strips wider. Your quilt is lovely! Love the diamonds!

I like the idea of having the diamond border framed by another border with the narrow strip. But would that make the quilt big enough for a queen bed? Maybe making the larger paisley border narrow would tame it a little. Otherwise, I'd probably do the first option to make it big enough.

I love that line of fabric and have some of it I will be using in the near future.
But for me, I liked the first picture. What are you planning on for the binding or will that depend on what you do with the border?
