Everything came out beautiful. The quilt and the colors. Tell us about dying the fabric

A gorgeous result. It fits in beautifully with the clouds in the sky above it.

I loved the look of a quilt I saw made with indigo blue, so I started looking for shibori fat quarters. They ae a little out of my price range. I started looking on pintrest for tutorials and got hooked. Indigo dying is a lot different than just dying with Rit dye. I started with Rit dye but could not get the colors I wanted, so I got an indigo kit and this is the results. It is still not the natural indigo experience but as close as I can get. I am happy with it, but it is addicting. (I ended up spending a little more for all of the stuff I needed, than if I had just bought the fat quarters, lol. But I had so much more fun.)

Beautiful! Did you use a pattern or wing the layout?
