When do you consider it finished?

Finished when quilted, bound and labeled. Well that applies most of the time. I have a pile of quilts that I have finished except for the label. They are waiting or the right person to wander through my life who needs the comfort of a quilt. Then I will quickly add a label and out the door it will go. But for the the most part, I consider "finished" to be when the piece is quilted, bound, and labeled.

After it is washed and labeled. The label is the cherry on top and I usually do a label also.

I don't consider it finished until it is quilted and binding on it and name tag. That's when I consider it done

I consider it finished when it is in the hands of the person I made it for. I don't make random quilts, each has a person in mind, from concept to delivery.

I always do a final exam of each quilt, clipping threads and checking the seams, etc. Just before this, I get the label on. So to me, a quilt is totally finished after clipping and being photographed with my DH holding it up for me. Then it can leave me and go to it's new home.
