This block has several names: Boston 8 block; Split quarter Square triangle, y block, and 3 patch quarter square triangle. The links shared are now saved.
Yes Barb in Louisiana, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

This block, the Boston Block, is what you use to make twisted ribbon and pyramid borders.
