    Default Birdie Bird Batting

Has anyone used this Birdie Bird batting, and if so, does it really work. It is expensive but is it worth it ?

https://www.birdiebirdquilts.com/ I looked at it on this website - seems way to expensive to me, and don't know that I would like the extra fabric that is attached to the actual batting; but I guess I would try it if I could get a free sample; as I usually use a longarm to quilt my quilts, don't see the need.

With a 3 to 5% shrinkage rate I doubt if I'll be using it. Will stick to my wool batting or warm and natural.

Especially since they do not recommend washing before cutting.

I am one of those that prefer the "flat as possible" look and actively dislike the "puckered by shrinkage" look.

I could probably achieve the same thing by spray basting thin flannel to the batting I already have to make it non slip for less that the price they are asking.

After reading t he info on it it is not likely I would use it for a couple reasons. I am not sure about how it would stay with the 'adhesive' or conditioner, or what ever adheres to the flannel, cotton base. On a larger quilt I would be concerned. The demo was only on a smaller piece. Secondly the price is very high. I would be one that would wait to see how it works for others. I am not a pioneer.
