Help My Presser Foot lever is stuck on my Singer V.S 2 Fiddle
Does anyone know how to get the pressure foot on a cast iron singer sewing machine unstuck? I cannot figure it out for the life of me and I have been refurbishing for 10 years now ...you would think this would of happened to me by now but nope...this is the first time. This is for a client of mine, and she is picking up tomorrow. I am going to have to tell her to wait because of this issue... I need someones expertiese please!! I appreciate it..and you as well as your time and effort to help me.. thank you so much! I look forward to hearing back from everyone

Ooops, So sorry to hear that. Not that it really makes any difference -- is it stuck up or down? Do you have Tri-Flow oil? Did you have the face plate off and oil? Sometimes, what happens is the fresh oil doesn't completely flush out the old oil and it gets stuck again.

it is stuck down.... I have tri-flow superior lubricant and cones zoom spout oil.. I should try the trip flow? Because it hasn't wanted to move at all since I got it from a client.... this isn't my machine. I need to understand why it is doing this because it doesn't make any since. Everything is in tact except the fact that this lady tried to clean it with alcohol and water at one point...which I freaked out when I heard that. ive had another machine do this to me but I never got it working * due to the fact it was to expensive to get all the parts for it anyways*
I will show a photo..and yes there is some rust and gunk in there... I need to get out... but why won't it move? I even took off the top screw.... and nothing budged...

You will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.
I would use Tri-Flow first. We had a screw that we couldn't get undone with SMO for a few days, finally did Tri-Flow overnight and while still needed a little force, unscrewed well. Dried oil acts like glue and probably the water did not help. Good possibility that rust and old oil have 'glued' it well. If an overnight soak with Tri-Flow doesn't work, it may need Kerosene, PB B'laster Penetrant or Kroil. I'm not sure what either of the last two will do to japanning or decals. Maybe heat from blow dryer would help,
