A MSQ block of the month might be fun, as they have a forum where others will post. However, just joining a block of the month doesn't necessarily get any social interaction. I joined one last year. It was an appliqued quilt, with which I had no experience. I did download all the months, and buy the supplies, but never made one. Without the aspect of communication, I was not motivated to actually learn the method.

Sewbizgirl-I made that same quilt and it was fun to follow along. It was fun to have different blocks and have time to make each block before the next pattern came out.
jfowles-I think you would enjoy the BOM or BOW.

Bkay, you can start a thread here on the board. Just call it something like "People interested in sewing the MSQC BOM together".

Love your quilt Sewbiz! If you don't know, Piecing the Past is getting ready to start a new sew along, the 13th. https://piecingthepastquilts.com/

Pat Slone does a BOM's and several BOW's. Most are free, others you need to buy the book/pattern. https://www.ilovetomakequilts.com/

Another source you can look into is Seams to be Sew. (great site) Every year she posts a page that lists free BOM's. https://www.seamstobesew.com/bloghappenings/

Many of these start at the first of the year, but as fast as this year is going by it doesn't seem so far off!

There are actually many bloggers that do them, some are free for the first month, but if you don't download it there is a charge after that. It really varies with each. All in all they can be a lot of fun and if you find one you want to do, just ask on QB, there's always someone who would like to do it along with you.

Just realized the Seams to be Sew link was wrong, here's the correct one:
