    Default FMQ foot

Does this look right to you? I feel like my needle is way too far to the right, almost touching the foot. I've taken it off, checked to make sure it's on all the way. I'm not sure what else I can do. Maybe it's supposed to be this way. I'm not sure. Your thoughts?

It does look to close to foot. Can you move the needle position?

I took out the needle and put it back in again, hoping that would help, but it did not. Is there some other thing that I can do to change the needle position?

Make sure your machine is not in the zig zag stitch.

Some machines have stitch modes featuring left, center or right needle position. Make sure you are in center position.

PS: Carefully roll the hand wheel manually to see how the needle responds. Don't hit the foot.

Yes!! Thank you, Rhonda! I have it set to straight stitch, but when you said this it made me check the wheel. I had it set to zero (this seemed to make the most sense), but it's really supposed to be set in the middle!

It's a new machine so I'm still getting used to things!

Thanks so much for the help!

I'm glad you corrected it, needle would have sure broke if you used that way.

Amethyst- if you are doing FMQ you'll want to have your straight stitch plate, not the zig zag.
