Towel instead of batting?

Towel instead of batting?
Could I use cotton terry/bath towels instead of batting in microwave bowl cozies?
I have used them in/for potholders and towels have worked well.

One can only try and see what happens. Need at least two thicknesses I think.

Make sure the towels are 100 percent cotton and it should work fine.

I had a yowel melt when I put a hot dish on it, so make sure it is cotton.
