Maybe we have seen them all?

I think you're right. What ever the reasons I think the swap is over in the minds of those who signed up.

That is a beautiful tree Betty. I check here every day to see if any late arrivals post a pic. And I want to add my thanks as well to hav4boys for hosting. I love this swap.

I was decorating my tree tonight. I found so many ornaments that I have received in this swap, in years past! It made me happy reading the names I'd written on the backs of the ornaments.

I love my glass ornaments, but they stayed in the box this year. My two nearly 2YO GDs will be here for Christmas, and I know they will want to remove and play with everything on the tree that they can reach. So all the lower part of the tree is toy and soft ornaments. No hooks, either. I replaced them with loops of yarn. Can't wait for the GDs to see my "touch and play" tree.

Maybe that is the answer. I am sad that there wasn't more enthusiasm and posts regarding this Happy time of year. I do look forward to seeing the posts and the pictures of ornaments sent and received. Judging by other years, this year did not come up to the usual ornament swap level of participation. Maybe the virus has people in another mind about things.
Hopefully the New Year will bring more positive thoughts about our future, I hope so at least.
I will post another picture of my tree with the room lights on also my mini tree I have in the front entrance. I am so excited about this new tree, best one we have ever had and it is such good quality that it my last us out now. I decorated my Lounge and dining area yesterday, today I am cleaning my kitchen and every day dining area and then I will decorate them.

Thank you Have4 boys for hosting this years swap and a very Happy Christmas to all members.

I set up our tree this past Saturday. I love all the homemade ornaments and the entire uniqueness of them all. I honestly think crafters have the prettiest trees!

Wise idea to put all the soft ornaments lower, SBG. That's what I do too. Our breakable ornaments are always at the top. Enjoy Christmas Day with your granddaughter! Children add so much joy to Christmas!

I too have been disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm in this year's swap. I don't know if I'll join in next year's. I was hoping that the recipients of my ornaments would at least post pictures of what I made them, but luckily I have photos to share.

I can't seem to get a good photo of our Christmas tree, but here it is! No cheap Walmart ornaments here! I asked Katrina (age 4) and Bridget (age 3) to pick their favorite ornament. Bridget chose her "Baby's 1st Christmas" bell ornament and a teddy bear ornament . But Katrina pondered on it for about 10 minutes before saying "I love them all!" That's my girl !

On Christmas Eve night I always set up the Nativity Scene on the desktop on the left.

I am so sorry it has been a rough year as the host too. I noticed in all the swaps I hosted this holiday season, they all had issues with people following through on their commitments. I love looking at pictures but so many do not know how to post. I have tried to send explanations. I do hope next year has more enthusiasm and that this year has just been hard for everyone.

I have to say this has been the roughest year of my life. I am sure that was more I could have done to bolster enthusiasm, I catching COVID in November really sent me for a loop.

Thank you for all that participated.
