I have a very soft aqua color, all white furniture. If it wasn't such a mess most of the time, would be a very calm and soothing color scheme

Mine is pretty much the basic beige, came with the house when we moved a couple of years ago. Do what makes you happy.

Mine is a pale grayish tan. I really really wanted a bright color, but I worried it would get to be too much once I started hanging up things.

I painted all my walls the whitest white I could find. My thinking was that color on the walls might reflect on fabric and change the way I perceived the color. Also that there would be plenty of decorative color what with brown cabinets, colored fabric on open shelves, books, stencils, and books. I only have one very tiny window so there is not much light. My choice was right for me. There is so much to take into account. If I had big windows the white might be too bright on the eyes!

I'm chuckling to myself..my sewing room was a bedroom with walls painted 14 years ago. I guess my choice of SW Muslin was destined to be the color of a sewing room...now to add some mini quilts to brighten the walls up a bit!

Mine is a pale buttery yellow, a bit paler than the yellow on this site.

My sewing room is in the basement with a fairly large window just above ground level that faces NW, there is a fence about 6 feet from the window so it gets limited natural light.

Thanks Julie, I love it too...and yes it is usually tidy. DH says I am anal and a bit OCD but I have a room all to myself and so it stays clean.
