Hello from Mississippi
Hi! My name is Brenda, I'm a retired SPE teacher of the deaf and am becoming reacquainted with my sewing room. We'll just say that life happened leaving me with little time to "play" and now I may just have a few moments. I used to belong to the group or a similar group in Yahoo Groups and just discovered that it doesn't exist anymore. I do have a Viking Mega Quilter and Inspira frame. I have quilted a few quilts on it but it's been a few years. So I am thrilled to find all of you and tap into your vast knowledge and inspirations. I also belong to an actual quilt guild (where COVID rearranged our meetings to ZOOM and few of them) where I am not the only one but one of the few who does not have a true longarm quilter. My envy ends where the bank begins...so I choose to remain content with what I have...a wonderful MID arm machine and frame!. Great to find you all! (And I also have a Viking Topaz 40 Embroidery machine.---I know....different world) Yeah me. It replaced my Viking H. Designer SE which gave up the ghost last year.. I smock, do heirloom embroidery, bake and decorate cakes and cookies, too. Or at least I used to do all that a LOT. Hoping to do some of it again...but just enough to enjoy. Not to replace retirement! LOL Anyway...again thanks for letting me join! I'm glad I found you!!!! I am currently working on a braided quilt pattern in shades of purple for our granddaughter.
