Default Which brand of needles for a Janome 6700P?

    Hello!

My Janome 6700P just arrived. I'd like to know if I can use non-Janome brand needles (Klassé, Schmetz, etc) with it. Janome, of course, says only use their brand needles.

    All feedback welcome. Thank you!

I have a Janome 7700, and Elna 860, a Juki serger, and a HandiQuilter longarm and have always used Schmetz in all my machines. The only needles I have had issues with are Superior titanium in my Janome 7700.

My Janome is not picky about needles. Bobbins, yes, but not needles.

mkc, how did you know your 7700 objected to the titanium needles? I have not noticed a problem with them on my 7700, but I’m wondering now what might improve with a different brand needle.
