    Default 9x13” casserole cozy

I’m looking for a pattern to make a 9x13” pan cozy. Has batting in the middle and comes up on the ends enough to use as hot pads when carrying it. There are no handles and it’s made to just set the pan in up and comes up around the sides. Nothing covers the top.
    Thanks

I could not find any patterns like the ones on etsy. One is flat and then has velcro for the corners and ends come over the ends.
    But they are all premade.

There is a variation of making a cozy that has handles at the end that do not come over the top so you could pick up a hot 9x13 pan without touching the actual pan at https://vimeo.com/243356066 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM960hOvePQ

Will this work for you? It's from Sew Very Easy.

This is a neat idea. If I was still doing craft shows, this would be an item I'd have for sale in my booth!

American Patchwork and Quilting has a great casserole carrier pattern at https://www.allpeoplequilt.com/bags-...serole-carrier. It has a pocket for serving utensils and/or hot pads. I've made several and lined them with the silver heat reflective material (like ironing board covers).

I would make my fold over pads/handles a bit longer to fit over the pan handles. those things can be hot and hers didn't look like they covered it quite enough.

I've used this tortilla warmer video and thought it could be adjusted for casserole dishes. Haven't tried adjustment yet, but love the warmer.
