Yay, I have the Accuquilt die for Part One!

Today I took advantage of Accuquilt Black Friday deals to order some Quarter Triangle dies. Last year I borrowed those but I expect they’ll be used again sometime during this mystery so I expect to receive them before a clue arrives using them.

this Jennifer Chiaverini book is on sale today, not a fan, but I had to laugh when I saw the blurb that says "the day after Thanksgiving marks the start of the quilting season" Happy mystery everyone!

I was just going to observe and not take part in the BH mystery this year. Then I saw the first clue and realized I can use up some the hsts that were left over from Frolic. Now I’m very tempted.

I decided to jump in with fabrics from my stash and not going scrappy. So glad to see familiar names too.

Woo hoo! I am so ready for this. I think I will do the 8 at a time method for the first clues. Can't get started till tommorrow.

I am going to use Thangles for the units in part 1, my current project is made of pinwheels using the exact same size and I bought a couple of extra packs just in case. I love how the paper stabilizes that seam when sewing and pressing, I don't have nearly the warping issues I have had in past quilts with lots of HST. As much as I love Bonnie's Triangle tool, it is much faster to cut them out using the paper, too.

so glad I have this weeks die. I have decided to make the sub cuts large enough that the “trimmings” will make strings for strip quilting, oh good another project started.
    jemedwards, I PM’d you.

Mine are cut and ready to sew - maybe later today when things settle down around the house.
