Default Do You Ever Use the Back of Fabric?

I bought a black and white design to use as a sashing and it is just too stark.
I turned it over and the back of the fabric actually looks better...just toned down enough that it looks OK.
But, even though I've used the back of a fabric many times in collages, I'm having trouble convincing myself to use it in an entire quilt.
    Do you do this?

Yes! You paid for both sides, why not use both sides? This is a great technique for shading fabrics.

Definitely. And as for the reverse, I had a glittery fabric that I wanted to use as a back, but was concerned about it being scratchy to sleep with.

Yes! If the back of the fabric is the better color then absolutely.

Yes I have used the back of fabric before in a quilt. The one caution is, make sure to use the wrong side throughout and no one will know the difference.

Absolutely. Using the back is like getting two fabrics for the price of one.

Yes. In fact may times. Faster than going back to the fab store hoping to find what I need.
