    Default Stuffed turtle quilt

I love to make and donate baby quilts! It’s so satisfying to start and finish something in a few days. I don’t think I’ve ever had a UFO baby quilt!

This was adapted and scaled down from a pattern called "Baby Honu" from Quilt Works Today magazine, Aug/Sep 2003.

The pattern called for the head, fins and tail to be faced and not tacked down. I took it one step further and added a bit of stuffing to the appendages, thought it would be fun for baby to grasp on to. Bonus that all fabrics came from my stash! Love it when that happens.

I, too, love making baby quilts for the same reason. It's also a great project to practice new patterns, techniques and quilting designs. Love your stuffed turtles and quilting on their shells.

That is so cute and the little ones can use the legs for grapping onto as they are not sewn down.

Adorable, and I like that parts of the turtle are moveable…what a great idea.
