    TY for all the encouragement and complements. I use my regular warm and soft cotton batting. I also pieced some large pieces of batting scraps (for the first time). I didn't want to quilt fancy when it would be covered with cans of soup, so I straight lined at 45 degrees every 2 inches.
    Yesterday, I was practicing FMQ on 10 inch squares to make into bowl cozies because the quilting won't be noticed when a light bulb came on. I'm gonna practice FMQ on future pads!
