    Default Star Shower, 78 x 78

Made for my son in law. The pattern gives instructions for making the star blocks with split square and triangle background pieces, but I challenged myself to make them the traditional way with set-in seams. Now that I've got that out of my system , I will use Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire ruler to make stars for my next quilt.

Pattern is Milky Way, from Fig Tree. Quilted with Glide on my Tiara.
    Sorry the pictures aren't better.

A very challenging quilt, but you executed it perfectly. Your son-in-law will love it!!

A challenge and a win! The floating stars are a unique look that is refreshing in this era of intricate tiny pieced quilts. (They are lovely too.)

Beautiful quilt. I agree with WMU Teach - the floating stars are unique and make the quilt very special. Deb Tucker rulers are the best.
