    I believe the stems are made by snowballing one end of a black strip (& one in reverse), the same as the next outer strips.

    This video shows how to make the flower section without the stem and leaves.

    Hi Barb - Yes, I saw that and it was very helpful! I've made up a quick test block from scraps.

    I made the strips to 1.5 inches finished. I just have to add a black strip around the two leaf sides. It might have been nicer to use the 1 inch strips. I think this will be a one off for now - maybe I'll make a cushion out of it or it can just live on the design wall. lol.
